Our 2020 Luncheon took on a different and extended format this year and was hosted virtually.

We heard from 4 trainees at the Women to Watch Symposium: Jamie Krueger, PhD, Belinda Lay, PhD, Maanasa Jayachandran, and Shaghayegh Navabpour.

We also held an Early Career Roundtable/ Happy hour (drink recipes still available!) featuring: Kasia Bieszczad, PhD at Rutgers, Denise Cai, PhD at Mt. Sinai, Laura DeNardo, PhD at UCLA, Marieke Gilmartin, PhD at Marquette U., Catherine Hartley, PhD at NYU, Mihaela Iordanova, PhD at Concordia, Abha Karki Rajbhandari, PhD at Mt. Sinai, Janine Kwapis, PhD at Penn State, Susan Sangha, PhD at Purdue, Melissa Sharpe, PhD at UCLA, Natalie Tronson, PhD @ University of Michigan, Kate Wassum, PhD at UCLA, and Moriel Zelikowsky, PhD at University of Utah.

For the first time ever, we were able to use our donations this year to fund the “Where there’s a WIL, there’s a way” Research Grant to an underrepresented graduate student or post-doctoral fellow in the field of Learning & Memory.

Have photos of the event? Let us know!

Thank you!

Thank you to all of our members and participants for making this year's Luncheon “Reimagined” a huge success. We had over 100 participants join us from all over the world to listen to our Women to Watch Symposium trainees and Early Career Roundtable panelists, and we could not be more grateful. We awarded our first-ever “Where there’s a WIL, there’s a way” Research Grant to Ayesha Sengupta, post-doc at NIH. Your donations and limited edition t-shirt purchases allowed us to award her $3,000.

This year was very different and we tried to make the most of it. It was not the luncheon we envisioned, but it was certainly one to remember. Your continued support through these difficult times is a testament to how important our cause is, and we hope to continue growing WIL throughout the coming years.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year live and in person in Ann Arbor, MI!
